Because starting anything on day one, ehh. And to be honest. And real. Fear.
I can jump out of a perfectly functional airplane, but putting your words, thoughts, and passions in front of the universe is a terrifying idea. Because, yeah, you’ll see a good bit of mine. Here’s what I know to be true of me. My sense of humor is rock solid. What I also know to be true. Laughter crosses language barriers. Will I be the first person in line for my own laughter? Absolutely, without a doubt. When I can share a smile and a laugh, historically on a sidewalk somewhere. Thanks, cobblestones. Fear rolls away, because the worst happened. I’m still here. And now, I can mutter a few curse words. Laugh with strangers at the crazy lady in the wheelchair on the sidewalk. And realize that we all face mini moments of fear every dang day. Just now even. So you breathe through it, don’t hold your breath, you’ll pass out. That’s not what we’re going for. Move on. And for heaven’s sake laugh. Get all your wrinkles in the right places. And you’ll have to work with me on this whole writing thing. Rome wasn’t built in a day and I’m over 50 levels practiced in this thing called Life. I’ve got a lot to learn. But stick with me, you’ll never be bored.
If you’ve decided to give Fear its rightful place in the rear view mirror feel free to tag #damnamandashowedup and maybe that just might give someone else the shove they need as well. Some of us, aka me, we need shoves, we’re a bit hard headed. I can’t be the only one?
Here’s your thought for the day. Surround yourself with people who fight for you in rooms you aren’t in. TTFN
